What doctorfinder.uk does and does not collect about you. Short version: no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

No accounts, no tracking

There is no sign-up and no login. The site runs no advertising, no analytics package, and no third-party scripts. Nothing on the site profiles you, follows you between sites, or is sold or shared with anyone.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To serve pages and block abuse, Cloudflare records standard request logs: your IP address, the page requested, your browser type, and the time. The lawful basis is legitimate interest (running the site securely). These logs are retained by Cloudflare for a short period under their own retention policy and are not combined with anything else or used to identify you.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no cookies. Your browser may store one small preference locally, whether you last used the list or map view, using your browser's own local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to the site, and is not used to identify or track you. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations this storage is exempt from the consent requirement because it only holds a display choice you made yourself, so there is no cookie banner.

The correction form

If you use the "report incorrect information" form, or email a correction, you may choose to include an email address. If you do, your message is delivered to the site operator's mailbox by Cloudflare, which handles it in transit, and is used only to reply to you and follow up the correction. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. The email address you supply is deleted once the correction is resolved. Leaving the email field blank still sends the report.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data is held about you (for a visitor who has not contacted us, that is nothing beyond Cloudflare's short-lived request logs), ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to processing. For anything you have emailed or submitted, deletion is straightforward. Email [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
